GadgITERATION partners with Oceans Awareness at
the USA Science & Engineering Festival

SEAD network collaborated with From the Bow Seat, a foundation dedicated to raising awareness for care of the world's oceans, and GadgITERATION, New York. At the USA Science & Engineering Festival, April 25-27, Washington DC, gagdITERATION hosted hands-on activities for kids using recycled plastic and tinfoil to create interactive objects that produce sound, drawing attention to ocean plastic pollution and recycling. Organizers are Katherine Moriwaki, School of Art, Media, and Technology at Parsons School of Design, and Louisa Campbell, Parsons Research Faculty with a focus on media and education. The team includes Joselyn McDonald, Nicole Messier, Tong Wen, and Tingshan Gou.
